Founded by four local friends - Holly, Edwin, Paul and Danny - Half Cut Market combines our decades of experience in wine, beer & food to bring a corner shop with a conscience to York Way.

It started in a pub...
Half Cut is the product of many years working with booze & food. Each of the four owners has at least a decade in the industry under their belts, and we're bringing it all to bear on our little shop...
Half Cut?
Well, we're half shop and half bar / half beer and half wine / half food and half drink. Sometimes we're half cut too.
The shop has 80 low-intervention wines by the bottle and 120 packaged craft beers for drinking on or off site, with at least three wines and four beers available by the glass at any time.
We've got snacks if you're drinking in - buns, charcuterie, pickles & cheese - and high-quality ready-to-eat food to take home: fresh pasta, hand rolled dumplings, top-draw oven pizzas etc.

Book a tableWe've teamed up with the brilliant chefs from Hot4u for all our dine-in food. They're in every Thursday, Friday and Saturday cooking a weekly changing dinner menu, and have helped us write and produce a brilliant bar menu that we serve up the rest of the week
